Seeking Allah, finding Jesus

Hi all.

This today has appeared in my email box in newsletter form.

You may enjoy it as well.
But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.
-- 1 Thessalonians 5:21

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
-- Philippians 1:6

Just had a chance to read this and watch the video. Thanks so much for sharing Hana. I did enjoy it, very much.
What bravery and faith it must take to follow Christ when the result is losing your family.

The reality is that for many choosing Christianity over whatever religion one happens to be a part of often means leaving the fellowship of one's family, friends and social bonds. Understandably, this is extremely difficult and is a major reason why people cannot bring themselves to leave a group they are so bound to and have found close acceptance from. And because leaving also often means to be shunned or to find oneself alone, most refuse to. And then many have spouses and children to consider. And in Muslim cultures where becoming a Christian can also risk death or jail, the cost is immense. Truly, we in the West really don't know what persecution really is.
