Does God love some more than others?
I know the Father God loves us all, but does He love some more than others?
Ex; Abraham, Joseph, King David, Lazarus, the Beloved Disciple?

I don't think it's possible LW. I love my kids all the same, some of them annoy a little more than others lol, but no difference in the love department. To love one child more than another which is of course what we are to our Father is a form of discrimination and God just isn't capable of that.

He loves klowns more than wolves.
John 5:24

Re: Does God love some more than others?
Since you posed the question in Christian chitchat, I thought it was of a less serious nature.
No, IMO, God doesn't love anyone more than anyone else. Some will realize God's love more than others, in the end.
Just my 2c fwiw.

and why would Jacob be loved, but Esau hated, per say?

Here's the answer to your Jacob and Esau question:http://www.gotquestions.org/Jacob-Esau-love-hate.html
As far as John being the beloved disciple, he called himself that, didn't he?
