Re: Aliens
Best you go ahead and take care of "your own" as you stated. Peace to you, and lets let it be.[/quote]
What a smarmy, back-handed and INNACCURATE statement! I clearly said my view doesn't mean we aren't to be concerned about other nations' poor. And do you realize that the U.S. gives TRIPLE the amount of foreign aid as the 2nd most generous nation? But are we to be a nation of laws or chaos? There IS a path to immigration and citizenship for those who want to LEGALLY come here. But it would appear that many do not know the enormous importance of having such a legal process in place. And NO other country comes close to the annual legal immigrant inflo allowed by the U.S. There is an enormous danger in letting adult illegals come here. We know nothing about their criminal histories, potential terrorist links, nothing.

Your outward profession of having put on Christ, has as yet to put off Plato from your heart!

Re: Aliens
So in relation to my first post, I couldn't remember the verse in the Bible.
I found it; Obadiah 4:
"Though you soar like the eagle
and make your nest
among the stars,
from there I will bring you down"
I found it; Obadiah 4:
"Though you soar like the eagle
and make your nest
among the stars,
from there I will bring you down"
Only when the blood runs and the shackles restrain, will the sheep then awake. When all is lost.

Hebrews 12:2-3 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
2nd Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of this glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God,should shine unto them.

Re: Aliens
I have seen a demon before but I have not saw an alien or been visited by one or seen a UFO but based on the fact that a third of the angels rebelled with Lucifer and Satan's domain is the 2nd heaven or outer space it is not at all hard to believe somebody claim they were visited, abducted, etc especially since angels impregnated human women in Genesis 6 to try to stop the birth of Jesus by contaminating human DNA and the blood and God took care of the halfbreeds in Noah's flood. But fallen angels can visit us and even good angels too.

The Catholic Church, stopped doing demonic exorcism, when the above, was discovered.

Re: Aliens
When I asked for a description, I was hoping to tell what was seen, an image or the real being. Most likely an image of some sort as angels can do. The real being is tall and very bright and would have frightened the viewer.

Actually, the Catholic church has not stopped as much as they have "revamped" their criteria.TheQuestor wrote:https://www.google.com/search?newwindow ... gsntbM3pLwStarhunter wrote:Can you give an accurate description? There are a few things that MUST be present in the individual for it to be recognized as "demonic possession" and addressed accordingly.

Whatever its present criteria, the Catholic Church's ritual of exorcism is totally unscriptural!Actually, the Catholic church has not stopped as much as they have "revamped" their criteria.

Scripture reveals that ANY believer of strong faith can cast out a demon. And doing so has nothing at all to do with lengthy sessions of chanting of ritualistic sayings by priests. The power to remove the demonic is simply through faith and the power of the One Whom actually removes it (Jesus!). It is removed through the power of Christ. Period! Scripture reveals NO ritual involved, as demons were simply commanded to leave in the name of the Lord - INSTANTLY! The ritual is all Catholic nonsense! And I would say that the employment of ritual makes it entirely possible for the demonic to re-enforce false belief in the non-existent ability of ritual to cast out what only Christ (and faith in Him) have the power to do. I can see a demon faking torment and agony supposedly caused by days of relentless and totally pointless ritual, and suddenly going quiet after great theatrics - resulting in the demonic being unaffected and having furthered naive belief in the power of ritual and of having to have a professional specialist of the Catholic Church to do so.
Not trying to step on Catholic toes, but whatever false teachings ANY church has, they need to be called on them. The CC teachings surrounding exorcism rituals are but an example.

What exactly is the Catholic ritual of exorcism?

Re: Aliens
At least, through 1999 - and I wouldn't think the tactics or characteristics of the demonic have changed any - here is the written sequence for the ritual of exorcism: http://www.catholicdoors.com/prayers/en ... 01975b.htm
Just a "bit" more complex than when the Apostle Paul simply instructed the demon: “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And it came out that very hour."
But the CC would have us believe that only an authorized and TRAINED priest can "perform" this - guess the power is in the professional clergy and ritualistic steps - as opposed to the name and power of Christ, invoked and unleashed through the faith of a believer - ANY Believer!
