It would be indescribable if one assumes that anything that can be described must be material (with a defined mass, shape, color, dimensions, etc.) Since the soul is immaterial obviously it is indescribable in material terms (that would be a contradiction). But we can certainly describe the soul, i.e. that which animates the body.
Let us proclaim the mystery of our faith: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.

Lord I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.
