Here's a video of my cat and dog. They both have a soul, FYI.

I can't believe you think your cat has no soul. I know my cat has soul. He's a black cat. He must have soul!
Yes, but it's a DARK soul!
StoryTeller: Philip, your cat is gorgeous! And I think he has a soul.
Thanks, StoryTeller. Even if he doesn't have a soul, he's a great cat. He has rabbit-soft hair and a very laid-back personality (which Ragdolls are known for). But he fears no man nor beast.

Sabre is actually a "Mini-Me" - of his big brother "Noah," whom DOES have a soul.

Rick, that's what my two do every night. Of course, the Pyrenees is a 115 lb puppy (who will keep growing to about 150 lbs), so Sabre has to pick his points of attack and have a ready plan of escape. But once Noah gets tired, Sabre can walk all over him and he doesn't care.

Super cute Philip!

I think there are definitely animals in heaven Annette.
I'm not sure about every animal that dies though. There would be an awful lot of cockroaches, spiders ect. y:O2

I hope my past pets and my puppy dog will be in heaven with me.

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever.Amen.

And that, brothers and sisters, is the kind of foolishness you get people who insist on denying biblical theism. A good illustration of any as the length people will go to avoid acknowledging basic truths.

Both animals and humans were giving the breath of life which in Hebrew means soul

Depending on wither you are going with the Hebrew OT understanding of soul or the Greek Aristotelian view of soul, it isn't as much as IF animals have a soul as what kind of soul or which animals have souls.

I guess we'll find out when we get there, but things in heaven are the same as down here except without disease and death.
God made the first world with animals which live forever in their specific locations, so it wasn't like insects were indiscriminately everywhere like on earth, but often you had to find them in the places expected or liked by them. And animals were in the right numbers, they did not breed as if there were no tomorrow.

The Bible talks about the breath of life in all living things. There is no difference between us and animals.
The preeminence of man was in his given abilities to relate to God, and has nothing to do with the dogma of an immortal entity within.

Every animal has personality, however small, and God is the One who has made it that way, so that we can tell one sheep apart from another. Our animals and pet friends on earth had a distinct personality, which comes due to the breath and life of God, hence they are not malicious and evil, but innocent victims in this world of sin.
When the breath of life returns to God, it is not lost, and there is a text which says that all things will be restored.
The universe is great enough and needy enough to be populated with more life, and the amount of life that has gone from this world is absolutely nothing by comparison to the greatness and room and varieties in the universe.

It is very likely that in your journeys in heaven you will find our beloved pets somewhere, but in their pedigree form, not the inhibiting bodies they had here. So much larger and in perfect pedigree. Your cat will be as big as a mountain lion, your dog - a wolf or species the size of a calf. But then again you will grow to be about 3 to 4 meters tall anyway.

I'd like to add a thought. Is it not the soul that spends eternity in either heaven or hell? And That is based on a person's ability to understand salvation / belief in the heart and confess with the mouth. People can do that -- but can an Animal do that.

Animals have been put here for Us -- some to eat and some purely for our enjoyment. Those pictures of the cat / beautiful. Same with dogs and birds and such. Wonderful companions.

During the 1,000 yr reign of Christ -- it will be peaceful -- animals that we see an natural enemies will get along fine. The small child will be safe with a cobra next to it.

In heaven -- we are told about the people we'll get to meet and see -- the Old Testament saints and people who have died and we'll be reunited with. But no mention of animals. That will be interesting to find out -- if it even is important when we get there.
