Re: Please Introduce Yourself Here
Thanks.
Why can't I hear him? I believe totally yet I lack the conviction to call myself a Christian.
I know I can only reach God through Jesus yet I hesitate to dismiss other beliefs.
I lack that final conviction yet I yearn for it, search for it, have it in my grasp, then it slips away....
I love reading, words are everything to me, yet I read The Bible and I can't relate to it. Yet I read other people's thoughts on it and I'm inspired.
Sorry, questions....
Why can't I hear him?
(and sorry I tend to ramble)

Maybe start a topic on it and see what others think.
1Tim1:15-17
Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever.Amen.

Thanks 1over
I've been reading as many posts as I can and there are a lot of fascinating discussions. I think this forum might be my next step on my journey to know God.

Halito! (that's Choctaw for "hello")
I'm basically on my third mission from God. I like it. I even like the other two.
I like the thought and reality of the Infinite Universe meeting the Infinite Spirit of God, having Christ Jesus as its Eternal King. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Heaven is Great!
The Truth shall set you free!
Thank you for the welcome.

Halito to you too
Are you Native American?
You sound like a man on a mission! Can I ask, a bit more about that? That is if you don't mind sharing

In terms of missions, the first is recorded in 1 Kings 17 of the Holy Bible as Elijah. The second mission is recorded in the Harmonious Gospels as John. This third co-incides with the revealing of the Antichrst and the kingship of Daniel 11:4 & 21, amongst other things.

Re: Please Introduce Yourself Here
Hello!
I just stumbled across this website during one of my google search binges and found it to be quite intriguing.
A little bit about me:
I am ( as my name hints) a happy flappy deist.
I consider myself a cultural catholic as I was raised in the faith, have profound respect for the morals and tradition of it, but sadly lack the belief of a personal creator.
I'm a 3rd year (undergraduate) physics major at the College of William & Mary (go tribe).
I'm absolutely obsessed with steak and asparagus.
I'm at a complete loss of what to write now.
I look forward to dialogue with all of you!

My MIL graduated from William and Mary with an MS about a decade ago. I remember Margaret Thatcher was the speaker, beautiful campus, very prestigious school.
