Re: Why do you believe in god?
What can you do on a kindle Jac? I've lost loads of posts that way!
Why do I believe? I just feel it in my heart, my soul. I found God way before Jesus. I have always believed in God. I have read anything and everything I could and can on faith and God. It all led me to Christ.

Forgive my curious George but he's wondering what your personal revelation was?PaulSacramento wrote:I believe in Christ as my lord and saviour because of Personal revelation.
I defend my belief based on reason and observation of the world around me.
Again (forgive me if I seem redundant from my previous posts), but the defense based on reason and observation that's so very prevalent on this form is awesome.

That's a wonderful journey storyteller. It's a 'blessing' that you've sought to strengthen your faith by researching your faith. Knowledge is powerStoryteller wrote:

Call me Annette
I'm having the time of my life! I won't repeat my story (its on the personal journey thread anyway) but yeah, I was definitely led here by God. I have no idea on where I stand on the details but I know I am saved. Good news, indeed!

Personal pretty much means it is personal dude, LOL !
My point is that, even though I had a personal revelation, my defense of my faith is based on reason and the evidence that the world presents.

Session length is set to 4 hours.
But always safer to ctrl-c the unfinished post.

I think we've all been there.HappyFlappyDeist wrote:I spent about an hour and a half writing a very elegant response and explanation of my views. I then went to post and it said I needed to log in. I logged in and it was all gone. I'm so very sad.
Some other boards save your message as you write.
I don't think there is a plug-in for phpBB that allows this, or at least not a year or so ago.
I often load up Notepad, and start typing there.
It's happened that a window has crashed half way through a long post and just closed.
Then I'm sure the neighbours at the end of the street can hear my screaming and cursing.

Re: Why do you believe in god?
I`m almost at the point where I don`t bother even trying to make a long post on my Kindle with the amount of times that I`ve typed out a really good, long response to something only to find when I go to post that it says I need to log in again and I lose it all!

On My iPad there is a Notes application. I use to write longer posts there and then copy-paste.Storyteller wrote:I`m almost at the point where I don`t bother even trying to make a long post on my Kindle with the amount of times that I`ve typed out a really good, long response to something only to find when I go to post that it says I need to log in again and I lose it all!

Maybe most of them do collapse.HappyFlappyDeist wrote:Very basic question and concurrently a very complex one.
My personal reason?
-I believe in a god because of the apparent mathematically ordered and precise composition present in molecular/atomic/-to a certain extent- quantum physics, the absolutely insane (1 quintillionth) precision that had to be associated with the big bang for it not to collapse, as well as the dilemma of wether or not the laws of physics could have spontaneously arouse and so perfectly governed all.
I'm really interested to read your personal reasons and stories of what caused you to believe!

I will say, such can be taken two very different ways, and leave it at that.HappyFlappyDeist wrote:Yup.Audie wrote:So out an infinite number of these events, one of them is this one.HappyFlappyDeist wrote:Audie wrote:
