One was too 'nice' too sickly sweet if that makes sense.
And yep! I had the people falling to the floor, crying, wailing etc.

I actually adore being in empty churches.
Annette,

Those are all things that would make me cringe too.

Forcing baptism, or forcing anything, is wrong.

Demanding that tongues is a sign of a believer, is wrong.

And sickly sweet, fake smile, fake Christians, make me want to puke. If we can't be ourselves in front of other believers, where can we be ourselves?

Annette,

My educated guess is that your cringing, is your knowing in your spirit, that something was wrong.
Annette - Don't listen to Rick. He is a heathen who has not been baptised and is going to hell.

Proper baptism is only done in the Jordan. All other baptisms are facsimiles.

If you are not able to travel to Israel for some reason (you have no money, you're afraid of airplanes you big sissy, or you're an anti-zionist) you may replace proper baptism by sacrificing a chicken and sprinkling it's blood on your kitchen counter.

I got baptised in the local creek that runs by our church, but way before that happened I was baptised by the spirit. Water baptism is nice but it is a shadow of the real baptism.

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever.Amen.

What do you mean?

I understand what Daniel is saying, I think. That water baptism is the shadow(or symbol) of the baptism by the Holy Spirit. The baptism by the HS, is the one that saves.

So when they're performed concurrently can we safely say that water baptism saves? :stirthepot: :incense:
