I agree! But only when those thoughts and ideas originate from those atoms and molecules.

So two big questions for you here.

With a physical theory of life can it be explained why it was likely that organisms of the kind that have consciousness would arise?
And do you know of a theory that governs the emergence of consciousness as being inseparable from physical evolutionary processes via natural selection?

LOL!
Hebrews 12:2-3 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

2nd Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of this glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God,should shine unto them.

I don't know about you but I am not 100% sure of anything, there just doesn't seem to be any certainty in life.

You say:

1. Logic tells us that absolute truth can be known,

2. but can we know if we have absolute truth?

3. I don't know about you but

4. I am not 100% sure of anything,

5. there just doesn't seem to be any certainty in life.

Do you notice that you have shifted from absolute truth to 100% surety or certainty?

Is absolute truth and 100% certainty for you identical?

I want you to think on facts and logic, and tell me which do you see to be truth and which to be certainty with the two following statements:

A. 2 plus 2 equals 4.

B. We have a nose in our face.

2 plus 2 is truth

We have a nose on our face may not be either truth or certainty or could be both.

Some say there are no absolutes.
Of course saying that IS an absolute, so...

The reality is that IF there are no absolutes then everything is subjective and IF that is the case then anything is permissible.

Since NO ONE believes that EVERYTHING is permissible then there is an absolute.

A bit like saying it's impossible to say that anything is impossible because that in itself is impossible?
