Cut the Starbucks! Relax & have some wine! There are some excellent wines out of California. Aussie wines are great as well, especially the whites because they have a slight eucalyptus nuance...very refreshing.

To go back to an older point between hap and myself, without going into details, he has persuaded me that my initial concern that his claims to being open-minded were less than forthright are probably ill-founded. If anyone reads that and notices the careful wording and apparent qualifiers, I acknowledge and own them. Outside the context of our private discussion, I think my original point stands as a valid concern given what is publicly available. Still, given that context, I am convinced that his public remarks can be construed in a significantly more favorable light than I originally allowed.

My point in all this is a public acknowledgment that my worry that Hap is "playing games" are settled. I don't think he is doing that after all. So yay for communication! :)

edit: I am an idiot. I missed some other important posts in another thread. So let me say with no qualifications that I was completely mistaken in my previous statements on hap's openmindedness. Again, I repent in dust and ashes! Since I made the claim publicly, I hope this public apology means at least a little something.

And that, brothers and sisters, is the kind of foolishness you get people who insist on denying biblical theism. A good illustration of any as the length people will go to avoid acknowledging basic truths.

I hope Kenny can learn to admit he was wrong one day. I won't be holding my breath.

Hi, i just wish you guys analyse this phrase i've see in another forum:

"Because belief is a detraction of not using our desire to learn. When you don't use your desire to learn you will get mentally sick and fall into belief. ""
"You don't believe things happen, you understand they can. Everything is a learning process not a belief process, you learn first then understand why things are and can happen. Then if you get it right one day you'll get to know everything in life. "

he also said faith is not belief

Does it make any sense, sounds crazy but i want a good response to that

I do not understand all of the post, esp. the end but I would like to say that there are many believers who greatly desire to learn. I would not call them mentally sick.
But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.

Sound something according to BF Skinner's behaviorism's model ( see quote below).
"...not everyone is willing to defend a position of 'not knowing.' There is no virtue in ignorance for its own sake.”
― B.F. Skinner
However please note that the last sentence is in itself a statement of belief: Then if you get it right one day you'll get to know everything in life which by the way of Freudian slip indicates the author of these statements maybe not be aware of condemning his own mental state...
