Russians Back Syria Question

Post by Philip »

OK, now Russia's bad boy Putin has declared his support for Syria's president and side against the "insurgents/rebels." He's also loving making Obama look like a toothless idiot in the process.

But here's an intriguing question: IS Putin not perhaps doing us a favor? I mean, here we go again: Take out the entrenched power structure in a dangerous area of the world that is crawling with Islamic opportunists and factions of just about every imaginable Islamic stripe, just to get rid of ONE dictator and troublemaker, and THEN what happens in that vacuum? Likely, an even larger and prolonged "Battle for Syria." We took out Saddam and look at what happened. Sure, Syria's dictator is a very bad guy. HOWEVER, taking him out solves precisely NOTHING! Look at Libya - we were sending millions per day to help topple Qaddafi, and what is our thanks - the American Ambassador and others are murdered and now Libya is in a FAR worse state of chaos than before. And we SURE don't want American troops sent to another civil war. The present rationale for toppling Syria's dictator is ISIS.

Really, in that area of the world, what is the difference between and insurgent, a rebel, whatever Islamist, and a member of ISIS? They're ALL about equally bad - many just following a different grandson of Muhammad.

So, am I wrong - might not Putin be doing us a favor? I'm no international analyst - but a strongman's peace (or relative peace) is better than a raging civil war. And look at the refugee issue - a prolonged war just cannot be better than putting up with a dictator. And if the Islamists move in to take the dictator's place - what THEN? Not to mention, consider WHAT country does Syria butt up against???!!!

Maybe. It's complicated, y'know? I can't even tell who we're currently allied with. It seems to depend on who the opponent is that afternoon. It's not like there are two sides in this conflict. It's closer to a free-for-all.

I've also heard analysts say that an ISIS victory would be good for us. The logic is basically that right now ISIS, being mainly an insurgency, is difficult to fight, but if they win they'll have to settle in and govern. At that point they'll be vulnerable to military strikes, as well as economic, cyber, and political attacks, plus they'll have to figure out how to turn a bunch of violent insurgent groups into a working political system. So basically they could lose by winning.

This is a very deceptive thing going on and it is hard to know who to believe the western news media or other alternative news sources however I am in agreement with Putin's decision to take ISIS out and he is embarrassing Obama and letting everybody know that Obama was never attacking ISIS despite all of the lies.Russia is doing just in a few days what America was not doing for all this time because of Obama's policies.

Remember when we were upset about the Christian beheadings and nothing was being done? Well now it is and ISIS is being taken out and are running like rats. Putin is taking the fight to ISIS something America could have been doing all this time but was not doing because of Politics. However I still do not trust Putin just because I agree with his decision now to take out ISIS and I worry what this might lead to in the future. This is the way I see and understand things. I do not trust how our news media is spinning these attacks and down playing their effectiveness,NO Russia right now is being very effective in taking out ISIS and I like it.

The question is, what is Putin REALLY in Syria for? I can guarantee you it's not to fight ISIS.

TAKING DOWN Syria's president changes little, in the bigger scheme, as he's not truly in control of nearly as much territory as he was. So, you've got all these various factions fighting for real estate. Take him out and those skirmishes will just take over the entire country. In some ways, this is Iraq all over again. Whether we like it or not, dictators are often preferable to chaos and ongoing civil war and masses of refugees, etc. If some genius thinks we need to take out some tyrant, he better have a good plan for the aftermath!

Putin is protecting Asad's government in Syria and in order to do it he is taking out any factions that are against it,this includes ISIS. Putin disagrees with the West's strategy to take out rogue regimes like Asad's gevernment,Sadam Hussien, etc because it just creates an Islamic Terrorist haven,so he is taking them out instead and embarrassing America and the west. However I believe this is going to eventually lead to Ezekiel 38 being fulfilled in which Russia,Iran and other Islamic countries and Germany go to war against Israel only to lose.

Well, this may be the hook in his mouth: http://www.foxnews.com/world/2015/10/07 ... in-israel/

The stage for Ezekiel 38-39 seems to be setting.

Even though Russia might have an effect (and potentially could be) gog/magog. I think Putin is actually the king of the fart north and gog/magog (king of the north) is Turkey.

Yes things are extremely exciting. We see the build up for the Ezekial 38 war ramping up ^_^

... why don't I get that one..?
And what about the Psalm 83 war? I was really thinking that was before the Ezekial 38. An authority I trust doesn't see the Psalm 83 to be prophetic but my studies show otherwise so it's a bit confusing for me.

Look what you wrote. You wrote "fart".

I'm king, only because she's queen. ;)
