I guess I just feel like you guys are missing my point.
As I mentioned, Jesus himself said it was better that he goes. I believe that.
Just because the spiritual.relationship may be superior, I still give high value and significance to his life here as a man. As a son, a brother, a friend. I just wish I had been there to experience him in that way.

I don't think anybody here is judging you,we are simply trying to address the point you brought up.Not trying to judge you or your salvation, etc. You asked about it,so we are just trying to give you an answer biblically.I think there are questions that we all have and there is nothing wrong with questioning, however we must be careful not to let our questioning lead to doubt because of our human reasoning.Nessa wrote:I guess I just feel like you guys are missing my point.

I get what you mean nessa, about knowing him as a man.
Not sure how popular this will be but The Shack by WM Paul Young, for me, although a harrowing subject matter, gave an impression of what he may be like as a man.

Re: Please help me understand Jesus - the man
Actually, this conversation is rather hilarious! I mean, people are complaining because Jesus isn't how THEY prefer Him to be, doesn't meet their expectations of how THEY think He should interact. Isn't that kind of what Kenny's problem is - except that He doesn't believe? He's constantly saying that because God doesn't interact or show Himself in the way Ken desires, that this is why he can't believe. I'm not making fun of our struggle to want to know Jesus on a deeper level, it's just that part of this dialogue seems kinda, well, silly.

Nessie, now you can see why I get in trouble at my house all the time - that is, saying what I think, in the moment. I think it's too late for me to change. Perhaps Rick could coach me on being a more sensitive man with the fairer sex? ... ah, on the other hand...

Rick? Teach you sensitivity?Philip wrote:Nessie, now you can see why I get in trouble at my house all the time - that is, saying what I think, in the moment. I think it's too late for me to change. "Now when you ask your wife for a sammich, you must add some sensitivity..'please dearest, use gentle hands when you make me a sammich...'....got it, phil?'
Thats rick being sensitive to his wife....not wanting her to be harsh with his sammich...cos it might get squashed
