Did Jesus have a biological father?
If we looked at Jesus's DNA what would we see? Godly DNA? Spiritual DNA? Human DNA perhaps?

Did you just ask if Jesus had a biological father?
John 5:24

...yes? Perhaps Mary acted as both parents, sort of like a genetic clone.RickD wrote:Did you just ask if Jesus had a biological father?

David Pawson who does a lot of teaching on unlocking the bible thinks it was combination of mary's egg and God's 'sperm'. That God took both and mixed them together somehow. Sounds a bit but he's better at explaining it than me

But isn't that implying Jesus is not only a created being but some sort of God-human hybrid?Nessa wrote:David Pawson who does a lot of teaching on unlocking the bible thinks it was combination of mary's egg and God's 'sperm'. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, I think.
He was fully God through the HS and fully human through Mary.

If you notice my quote of your post, I liked it by saying, "Bingo". Liking your post with a thumbs up, is kinda redundant.
I actually took the time to quote you, and respond. That means I liked your post much more than if I pressed a stupid thumb icon!!!!

Re: Did Jesus have a biological father?
He had a human body, so human DNA - I guess God made the other half of it.Bluejay4 wrote:If we looked at Jesus's DNA what would we see? Godly DNA? Spiritual DNA? Human DNA perhaps?

I think, somewhere, on the shroud thread bippy mentions something about DNA findings.
Will see if I can find it.

Re: Did Jesus have a biological father?
yes, I remember this .. or at least I remember a blood type had been established. The Human body (Mary) - God's Spirit, in the person of Jesus.I think, somewhere, on the shroud thread bippy mentions something about DNA findings
It's actually quite strange, in our day and age of scientific endeavor, while some searching for physical proofs for God, we can potentially establish the humanity of Christ, the Man God from some 2000 years ago, but come no closer to the God, the One we aspire to spiritually. Belief requires Grace, Faith requires persistence and love guides them all.
Trust the past to God’s mercy, the present to God’s love, and the future to God’s providence. -St Augustine
