OK, back to the sexist jokes. OK, Rico - how do you do it - are you this amazing at home, or what?

No I wouldn't.Nessa wrote:Christians: Would you be pro-gay if you weren't a christian?
I'd still see Natural Law theory at work in the world.
There are consequences under NL, which may not be obvious at first glance.
But, breaking natural laws have negative consequences regardless of whether everyone agrees or not.
Sentiments mean nothing to natural laws. If they're broken, then you will suffer.
I care for homosexuals and want the best for them.
I'd never endorse anything that I think could harm another person.
Furthermore, I have deep concerns for children who have two "Mums" or two "Dads".
They really are negatively affected when they miss out on either a dad or mum.
Risk is also increase of abuse whenever a parent who isn't by blood raises a child.
It is always best the natural parents raise their child, where possible.
I think it is quite cruel in fact, to purposefully withhold two biological parents - male and female - from a child.
Which "nature" obviously intended.
Really, I don't understand how anyone could support such Christianity aside when logically thought through.
And you know, in the not so distant past this wasn't considered a religious issue, but rather a social one.
How much things change as generations spin the wheel.

When it comes to kids, I would still be against kids being raised with two dads or two mums.
I guess I haven't thought it through fully. All and all this isn't turning out to be one of my greatest threads

It's a good thread I think. Just all the chaff diminishes it.
If I cared to mod properly, I'd delete all of Rick's the off-topic posts within.
That might just encourage more though.

Re: Christians: Would you be pro-gay if you weren't a christian?
I think this is a great thread
18 months ago I would have answered absolutely yes, love isn`t wrong, even if between two people of the same sex but now I`m not so sure, especially considering Natural Law. I hadn`t thought about that. I guess in a way I was just reacting to the prejudice that is sadly often shown towards homosexuals.
Now, I see that I can still be considerate to others without necessarily agreeing with, or condoning something that does go against Natural Law and what God intended.
As for same sex parents, I`m still working through that one. Part of me feels it is better for a child to be loved and brought up in a stable, open relationship, even if it is with two mums or dads but then that kinda goes against what I believe. It`s a hard one for me.

Your 'eye rolling' comments and superiority complex towards others is really getting old with me.
