There is truth to B. W. underlying emphasis too though.
We do made decisions based upon faith, which is kind of another word for trust.
Whether that's going to the store to purchase something.
We believe the store is open and has the product we want.
How rude of them when they burst our faith bubble by being closed or not having in stock what we are after!
Or, you know, more and more, I see things happen to people.
A person dies unexpectedly just going about their day. Or, gets diagnosed with cancer.
Or, a stroke hits. Or, this and that health issue arises.
We do have faith in things each day.
It may not be blind, but based upon what we have every reason to believe is the case.
Every so often we are surprised though by the element of unpredictability.
Sometimes what looks like a crack in the road we're jumping ends up being a chasm.

Someone wanted to know what I liked about this post, so thought i'd just say it here incase others wonder. I like many things. That could be good things or bad things. That doesnt mean I think its 100% correct. I could just like and appreciate someones way of just saying what comes to mind (such with this post)...Not 'editing' themselves. And of course other times I like a post by accident and cant be bothered changing itAudie wrote:Thunder and threaten as you like, shout impossible demands and insult me, I will not respond again to anything you say.B. W. wrote:"Whatevs" means "whatevs" not "write a treatise that I wont read whoever only Ed and Aduies treaties are to be permitted to read.Audie wrote:RickD wrote:Audie,
B. W.'s "treatise" aside, I really find it difficult that an intelligent, scientific and logically minded person such as yourself can't see that the evidence for God outweighs the evidence against Him.
I'm probably half as intelligent as you(on my best day), but I have no problem understanding that logically, God must exist? What's blocking your mind from believing in God?
"Rain check" on that one.
Would like a ban Audie?
This is a form for two way discussion. Since you will not read and discuss there is no reason for you to be here.... Your tone is hostile and bigoted.
So for that we'll dish it out.
PROVE THERE IS NO GOD...
PROVE IT ...

I thought the sacred nature of faith in god would keep anyone from making any suggestion
that it was somehow equivalent to faith that the morning orange juice is still fresh.

I'm not sure I know what you mean by faith in God being sacred, but now I'm wondering about that orange juice.Audie wrote:Kurieuo wrote:There is truth to B. W. underlying emphasis too though.

You know juice is full of condensed sugar. Better to have a smoothy because then your liver won't be overloaded as much with too much sugar intake and your body will be able to process it all better with the fibres and natural sugars in the right quantities.
Food is sacred you know. Have you not read about Israel's dietry laws, spoken to a Jew or SDA? You actually might like them, not eating meat or certain kinds. Paul had a lot to say on it, even picked on Peter once about it.
