24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

Chicken is so revolting!
I would not eat chicken
even if I was dead.
Rancid bait left out for Ardy,
will he swallow it?
Much will be revealed.

Why does it seem like the worst thing. Does some part of you think that belief in God would turn you into a complete ditz or something? I'm often amazed there isn't an openness even, given the universe and all that we see.Audie wrote:Try it. I didnt change sides yet, not likely to.Kurieuo wrote:There is something odd about this thread. Like people have changed sides or something in answering Nessa's questions. Rick, I bet if we came out and said the opposite to what we did, that Ed and Audie would have also had opposite responses.
That probably falls into line with Nessa's questions to, the idea that a Christian would balk undertaking true investigative research. Though, evidently, truly, such is not the case if we look at the many good scientists who were actively Christian.

Click the name of the person you wish to PM ie., beside one of their posts.crochet1949 wrote:Can't imagine why?
BTW -- I've been Trying to send PM's and I keep being told , just lately, that the recipiants don't exist. Even when I try getting You.
So -- HELP.
Then under their profile page, click "Send private message".
Should now be able to enter message etc.
Let me know if that doesn't work and I'll check your settings.

Re: When it comes to science...
Christian: A person who believes themselves to be a Christian.
Scientist: A person who seeks knowledge of the physical world through observation and experimentation.
Relative disadvantage? Intelligence? Bias?
Strange comparisons, really. Unless, of course, a conflict of interest is inevitable.
Perhaps the question for any of us is this: If what we observe does not agree with what we believe, what do we do?
