Who is Mike Pence?
Never heard of him. Anyone have any info about him, or what he's done? I could google him, but I'd like to hear what members here think.

From what I understand Pence is a real conservative, has strong moral character, and he is not a pathological liar.
If he were at the top of the ticket, I would vote for him against Hillary in a heartbeat.

I made up my mind months ago during the Primaries about whether or not I could ever vote for Trump.
Nothing since then has changed my opinion of Trump.
In fact, much has happened since then to actually validate my opinion.

Current gov of Indiana. Served in the House for a collective 12 years, including a stent in the third highest Republican leadership position. Strict movement conservative. Very well liked by both the so-called establishment and social conservatives. Very pro-life, pro-family, pro-marriage. Strong on fiscal and national security issues. Was thought to be a strong contender for Speaker of the House eventually before he left to become gov, and has long been thought to have presidential aspirations. Very moderate in tone. Very cautious. Tends to be a "think and think again before you speak" kind of guy. Good pick to balance out Trump, show he has a steady hand approach to governance, and to help him navigate Washington. Biggest negative, being a traditional movement conservative, has been his support for international free trade agreements like NAFTA and support of the Iraq war.
And that, brothers and sisters, is the kind of foolishness you get people who insist on denying biblical theism. A good illustration of any as the length people will go to avoid acknowledging basic truths.Proinsias wrote:I don't think you are hearing me. Preference for ice cream is a moral issue

I don't like this choice by Trump but I think I understand why he picked Mike Pence. Still,I'm not convinced if Trump was assassinated Pence would push for and fight for the things Trump has ran on and we'd be right back where we were before where Republicans give the Democrats everything they want and lose on the most important conservative issues. I would rather he had picked Jeff Sessions instead but I found out Sessions took his name out of the hat when it comes to being VP. At least I know Jeff Sessions has been against illegal immigration for years.

I think this was his first mistake,but I still support him. Who is Mike Pence? People asked the same question about Sarah Palin in 2008, and it led to one of the largest smear campaigns of history. It was the Manhattan Project of Libel.
