Mel,

Sounds like a really great kid, going through a rough patch. If he's given you no reason before, to be rough on him, I'd cut him some slack. Sounds a lot like my son.

I wouldn't be too hard on him, sounds like he is having a rough time of it.

My eldest is 12 and only this year we have finally had a formal diagnosis of high functioning autism and he is finally getting treatment and therapy. Before that we used to get at least 5-6 calls per week about behaviour, the final straw was when he held a pair of scissors to another kids throat, before that we didn't want to medicate. But since then 0 calls and his school work has increased dramatically to a high level, far exceeding his class mates, especially in maths and English. He is still not so great at sport. But he has had girlfriends now and can live "normally" like all the other kids without violent episodes. He even said to my wife awhile ago, "is this what it feels like to be normal", she promptly burst into tears.

One thing I learned from this experience is that you cannot fully blame the child for acting out, we have to find the root cause of the problem first and treat the cause and not the symptom (bad behaviour), which in my sons case was Asperger's syndrome, and early intervention is vital in this process (which we didn't have).
1Tim1:15-17
Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever.Amen.

He's far from perfect but a good kid.
He's a bit slack sometimes with his homework ect but I went for parent/teacher interviews a couple months back and all his teachers said that he could be a bit lazy with his school work but he was respectful and easy to like.
Then today he was apparently really out of line. Rude and full of attitude.
He got in trouble then laughed it off infront of the vice principle.
It's really out of character. I haven't informed the school of what's going on with him not only medically but psychologically.
I don't want to make excuses for poor behaviour but perhaps this is one time when perhaps he needs a bit of a break or understanding.
My hubby disagrees but I think the school should know the situation as it may shed some light on his behaviour.
Thoughts?
Let the school know, there aren't any reasons to not hide it and they'll most likely want to be supportive.

And Mel,

Please put up an avatar picture of you smiling. You look so sad. I can't take looking at you like that anymore. It makes me want to cry.

Mel,
if it is a brain tumor, I will direct you to three brain tumor forums I am member of.
Many poeple there with various kinds of brain tumor, lot of knowledge and all.
Thing is, one does need all the info righ from the beginning which I did not have and can be adviced greatly. It is important from the beginning to know as much as possible about various treatments.

I still hope it is not a brain tumor (can be benign though) but since you are silent I do worry about you and your son.
But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.

The scan was good news.
There was no abnormality
Thank you for all your prayers and thoughts xo
Still dealing with really low blood pressure and dizziness. We have a referral to another specialist.
The last week my daughter has had dance competitions local and interstate. We have been driving all over the country side.
Trying to maintain an unbalancable balance
Thank you for your love and concern ❤️

Great news, Melanie! I know that's a load off of your mind - despite the fact a medical mystery remains. At his age, one must wonder what role hormones are playing?

Great news Mel!

And, didn't you say that your son is very physically active? He plays footsie or something?

My wife has really low blood pressure. She always has. She's very active. But the dizziness could be caused by many things.

We have an appointment for him next month to a specialist. Apart from a few headaches and dizziness he's been fine lately. The only ongoing issue is the really low blood pressure. Which is causing the dizziness and other symptoms. It's sitting lately always around 79/48 or thereabouts.
And yes Rick, he plays football and is very active. Actually a few weeks back he was awarded junior club person of the year and best and fairest for U15's.
Going to take a quick moment to be a proud Mum. He's by far the smallest on the team but was awarded the best player. He rips up that footy field and is always a standout. He has so much heart and courage, not to mention just some awesome skill.
Thanks for your concern guys, much appreciated.
