... but ...
... if the Trump campaign can somehow lure Ben Shapiro over to the 'Dark Side', that would probably give me sufficient cause to reevaluate my position.
Fair enough?
Cruz flip flopping for the sake of political expediency is not much of a motivator for me to even consider changing my position...RickD wrote:Looks like old Teddy has finally given in.

That's fair. I don't see it happening, but we may be surprised. If Dennis Prager can't convince Shapiro to vote for Trump, I'm pretty sure nobody can.DBowling wrote:Cruz flip flopping for the sake of political expediency is not much of a motivator for me to even consider changing my position...RickD wrote:Looks like old Teddy has finally given in.

I wonder now, since Ted is voting for trump, if he's given up on His father's "prophecy" about old teddy being ordained by God, to be the next POTUS.

This is a good move by Cruz. After only being a one term Senator I want to see more evidence he is conservative and not part of the establishment.I wonder if Cruz does good, could Trump nominate him to the Supreme Court?I heard before the Trump/Cruz feud it would be a good move,so could it now happen? Possibly.

Only reason Cruz is capitulating is Priebus saying he wouldn't be able to run for POTUS as a Republican if he doesn't. So as always he is just looking out for himself. Typical politician. I hope he is primaried and loses.
And that, brothers and sisters, is the kind of foolishness you get people who insist on denying biblical theism. A good illustration of any as the length people will go to avoid acknowledging basic truths.Proinsias wrote:I don't think you are hearing me. Preference for ice cream is a moral issue

Ted says that he's voting for Trump because he prayed about it, and he searched his conscience. Ted said nothing about voting for Trump because his political career would essentially come to an end.
Prayer and conscience. I wonder if it's the same type of prayer that his father used, to convince God to tell him that Ted will be the next president. Hmm...
https://www.google.com/amp/www.theatlan ... ent=safari“After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience, I have decided that on Election Day, I will vote for the Republican nominee, Donald Trump,” he wrote on Facebook. “I’ve made this decision for two reasons. First, last year, I promised to support the Republican nominee. And I intend to keep my word. Second, even though I have had areas of significant disagreement with our nominee, by any measure Hillary Clinton is wholly unacceptable—that’s why I have always been #NeverHillary.”
So, old Teddy decided to "keep his word" when he found out that his political career was in jeopardy conscience told him to, and He prayed about it.

Re: Ted Cruz: Finally Going to vote for Trump
Well, to your point, if our conscience is our guide, and Cruz' political self-promotion/preservation is the only thing that mattered to him, then I'm sure he did pray about it and that his conscience made it very clear he had to vote for Trump!RickD wrote:Now wait a minute Jac,Jac3510 wrote:Only reason Cruz is capitulating is Priebus saying he wouldn't be able to run for POTUS as a Republican if he doesn't.
