This presidential race is a lot like a really cheesy Saturday Night Live skit, except that we (the audience), like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, wake up and see the people in they terrible dream look very familiar and real.

We got rid of a decent PM, not a great one mind you, but a decent one that did his job ( not great, but did it), for a candidate with ZERO experience and ability BUT that had the name of an old time Prime Minister that brought about feeling s of nostalgia ( in the way that JFK jr would have won if he were alive and ran for office).
We elected a premier that was DIRECTLY involved in a scandal that cost the Ontario taxpayers BILLIONS of dollars, that was a key player in a government riddled with economic and social issues, only because she was a lesbian ( and it would not be cool to vote against her) and we gave her a MAJORITY, even though NOW, no one admits voting for her !
Look around the world too and you say the same thing.
Why?
Because politicians are all self-serving, corrupt people that cater to the special interest groups that fund their parties and campaigns.
