What do people here of the theory that states that Christianity can be disproved based on the many things in the Bible which were taken from earlier religious traditions, or the "unoriginal nature of the Bible" theory? I've had an interest in this for a while, and since I've been researching it I've found a lot of information I can't debunk. Here is an article which summarizes some of the evidence well:

Does anyone else have any thoughts/opinions on this? I've been thinking about it for a while and it fascinates me a lot.

Greenfrogs, welcome to the forum. You will find all manner of assertions about the Bible, that say it is contrived merely from the minds of men, etc. But assertions are not fact!
MANY things I see similar to what your links shows are addressed in the book: "Is God a Moral Monster, by Paul Copland: https://www.amazon.com/God-Moral-Monste ... al+monster
As for issues like the assertions in the link, concerning the Elohim, see this link from a well-known Biblical scholar:

Also, from scholar Dr. Michael Heiser, on how we got the Old Testament: http://drmsh.com/naked-bible-podcast-ep ... testament/
Also, Greenfrogs, please introduce and tell us a bit about yourself here: http://discussions.godandscience.org/vi ... hp?f=2&t=5

people usually initially approach the Book for Answers, when the Book may be revealed to be better approached for Questions. Iow, if you are looking for "proof" or "facts" from Scripture, you are going to be disappointed, as the evidence shows, wherein any doctrine you can assert from Scripture can be refuted, from Scripture.
"Creation is continuous, and never stops."
