The Irony of Hate

Post by B. W. »

Quoted from news report from the Blaze linked below:

CEO suggests those who support Trump should resign

Matt Maloney, the co-founder of GrubHub, an online food delivery service, sent a company-wide email Wednesday telling employees those who agree with President-elect Donald Trump’s rhetoric or policies should resign immediately.

“If you do not agree with this statement then please reply to this email with your resignation because you have no place here,” he wrote. “We do not tolerate hateful attitudes on our team.”
Oh the Irony!

A CEO demands people who supported Trump must resign due to Hate while His own Hate is what - Justified?

Latter part of quoted article stated the CEO Back tracked.

However this article reveals the truth of how the left has actually brainwashed a generation of folks to believe with absolute certainty after being taught that there are no absolutes, that Conservatives/Christians all demean minorities, hate immigrants, despise the physically/mentally disabled, and adhere to a nationalist, anti-immigrant and promote hateful politics, are racist, bigots, hate mongers, oppressors, greedy capitalist pigs who seek the demise of the environment.

You try to reason with such folks and they shout louder that your all the above and you cannot get a word in edgewise.

It's amazing how the leftists call for tolerance, until someone disagrees with their beliefs. Then they become intolerant.

The irony swings both ways in the current political environment...
It's so much easier to notice the splinter in someone else's eye and totally miss the log in our own.

Hatred and bigotry is destructive and wrong when it comes from the left.
Hatred and bigotry is destructive and wrong when it comes from the right.

When those of us on the right refuse to acknowledge and address the hate and bigotry in our own camp then we only confirm and strengthen the caricature that the left paints us with, and by our blindness and hypocrisy we forfeit the moral high ground and the right to call out the left's hatred and bigotry.

What is the Christian response to hate?
Matthew 5:43-46
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?

The Christian response to hate is love and prayer... not more hate.

I agree. Someone like Egghead McMuffin is a perfect example.

Completely agree.

Over 57 million people voted for a criminal (Clinton). A criminal. And then they have the nerve to say Trump is immoral, while they have no problem at all taking a vacuum to the head of an unborn child and sucking its brain out through its skull and claiming that they are not immoral?

I was reading Michael Moore's Facebook page, and he's essentially calling for a gigantic revolution to impeach Trump and the comments of his supporters are completely militant and out in left field. They are even claiming that Vice President-elect Mike Pence, is even worse than Trump. They are essentially instigating war.

Economist Martin Armstrong on his blog, claims Trump's Presidency is the end of Socialism (Liberalism) in the U.S.

As I said before, I expect Trump to completely purge the system because he knows it has to be done. There are too many people who have ruined the United States from within; the greedy bankers, shady business people, bloodsucking lawyers and corrupt politicians and it needs to get back on track to the way its founders envisioned it to be. While people were suffering in the U.S., the President, Congress and the Senate were discussing implementing transgender washrooms. Truly and utterly pathetic.

True. But the Bible also says this:

Romans 12:18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

There are a whole bunch of leftist liberals who are simply impossible to live at peace with because they want no peace with Christians. If they had their way, Christianity would be illegal, Christians would be executed and the American Constitution would be torn to pieces. And that is no exaggeration. That is why every leftist/communist government in history has made Christianity illegal, because in a communist state, nothing can be greater than the state. God is always greater than the state, which is what Liberal/leftists cannot stand, considering the vast majority of them are not in any way, Bible believing Christians.
There are two types of people in our world: those who believe in Christ and those who will.

If Christianity is a man-made religion, then why is its doctrine vehemently against all of man's desires?

Every one that is of the truth hears my voice. Jesus from John 18:37

Having endured your attempts to "reason" with me, I'm going to guess that you're to blame for most of the shouting.

The problem - or at least challenge Trump personally has as a human being - not to mention as president - is I think his measure of things he considers good and successful don't go too far beyond an appreciation for opportunities and realizations of financial success. I pray he's going to move beyond that to a more spiritual understanding of things.

Trump just setup Pence to now lead the Trump team, which is a good sign. I have a feeling he'd not just be advising Trump politically, but also spiritually during their personal exchanges.

Same here, I love Pence because he irritates the right people. That's always a good sign. Plus we need as many prolife people on the hill as it can hold.

Because you shout and rail first non-stop... :slol:

Eight years under Obama and his railing too!

I appreciate the way he cloaks his bigotry with a grandfatherly facade. Maybe he's right. Maybe homosexuals don't deserve the same rights as the rest of us.

What has Pence done or said he wants to do, that would leave homosexuals with less rights than the rest of us?

I'm asking because I seriously don't know much about Pence, and his positions.

Let me stick up for Pence here.

Looking at your article.
I don't see any hate on the part of Pence.
I don't see any bigotry on the part of Pence.
I don't see anything here that deny's the rights of the LGBT community.

I do see a person of faith and conviction.
I do see a person who holds positions on social issues that do differ from yours
... but differing positions in and of themselves do not imply bigotry and hate. Bigotry and hate are a function of how people manifest their differences and how they interact with those who disagree with them...

I do see a person who is concerned with the Constitutional rights of those in the faith community who should not be coerced by society and our Government to condone, facilitate, or actively take part in activities that their faith says are sinful.
... and my observation has been that legitimate concerns for the First Amendment Constitutional rights of the faith community are unfairly disparaged by many on the left as hatred and bigotry...

In Mike Pence I also see a person who has listened to and responded to concerns of the LGBT community when he signed an amendment to the the Religious Freedom Law to protect gays and lesbians.

In Mike Pence I see a person who has demonstrated through his behavior that he is concerned for the rights of all people, which includes both the LGBT community and the faith community.
