Melchizedek priesthood in Christianity

So is this really important because Mormon church states that only people who are in Melchizedek priesthood can preach the word or baptize.

If this is the case, why isn't it clearly taught in the Bible? Jesus told his disciples they were to make disciples and baptize them but he never said anything about a Melchizedek priesthood.
God wants full custody of his children, not just visits on Sunday.
