Didn't Adam and Eve both sin?
One thing I keep hearing is Eve is responsible for the sin in the world. Adam blamed her. But I was taught both of themselves sinned

Actually, Adam "is responsible for the sin in the world," not Eve.
And that, brothers and sisters, is the kind of foolishness you get people who insist on denying biblical theism. A good illustration of any as the length people will go to avoid acknowledging basic truths.Proinsias wrote:I don't think you are hearing me. Preference for ice cream is a moral issue

You can't draw that conclusion. "With" doesn't necessarily mean "in the physical proximity of." The word can certainly mean that, but it also has the idea fellowship or companionship in general. Cf Gen 3:12. And the NT does not make both responsible. Cf Rom 5:12 for but one example.UsagiTsukino wrote:The snake was talking to both adam and eve since he was with her.

Some view that the reason Adam is (primarily? solely?) responsible was because while Eve was deceived by a "divine being" ( according to some), Adam simply did what Eve told him to do, like a little "p***y-whipped" pansy.

Looking at Genesis 3 -- the serpent was talking with Eve in vs 6 and she ate of the fruit and then vs 7 she gave some to Adam and then he ate and then their eyes were opened. They faced God together for their sin. Listening to the serpent instead of believing God.
