I would assume that most people at a 'God and Science' forum are aware of the concept of a 'representative sample'.
Then if such modeling was available and was used, why was the media shocked at the outcome? Something needs tweaking in either their modeling or their sampling techniques. Anyone asserting that the outcome wasn't a big surprise - I mean, how much ink was written about that fact?
None of that really matters now - excepting, many of the same people that were trying to sway the election are now trying to manipulate public opinion via polls - polls that how the questions are posed and to whom make all the difference. And obviously, we can have a healthy wariness of Trump while still being glad he's enacting certain policies. I don't have to like HIM, I care about policies, actions and results. The rest is just the chattering masses and talking heads and mostly clueless columnists. Trump is a guy who is clearly prone to outrageous statements - that's just his nature. But let's focus on and judge him by what he actually does and not just his over-the-top statements - which is what the press focuses on. Yep, he's his own worst enemy, in that regard. I hope he grows up in that area. But if anyone thinks the left and the establishment Republicans didn't need their cages rattled - sheesh, both parties are full of unimaginative and clueless buffoons.

Tritto on that I just wished it were someone other then a corporate Ceo type . I voted for neither as I'm a little from each side .
I'm
1000000000% pro life (going to a pro life rally close to the border next month)
Which is generally what the republic can party supports , but I don't trust that trump is really pro life . And Bernie sanders supports all stage abortions so how can any Christian an vote for him .
I'm for social Justice which traditionally the dems have supported (Hillary was a Wall Street
stooge )
Why can't we have a candidate that is really for the people and has a moral barometer
I love the fact Trump is a businessman instead of a politician because they don't understand the business world like Trump does.It does'nt really matter if Trump is pro-life or not although he has said that he once was pro-choice but is pro-life now and I have no reason to doubt him as long as he puts conservative judges on the bench and so far he has.Besides, under the current status-quo political system nobody has a reason to think abortion would've been overturned and pro-life would finally win because it has never changed. The Republican Party has just used Christians for their vote on these issues but has had no intention of ever doing anything about abortion, eventhough they run claiming they are pro-life. It is all just a political game they have played with us every election for years. There are much more important things facing America than issues like abortion, same sex marriages and the liberals have gotten their way on these issues no matter who has been in power anyway. It is not like these things would have ever changed had we rejected Trump, yet it just might in the future because we chose Trump.

I am so glad I voted for this man. NYT has for many years been the head of the snake (while in later years, CNN could be called the rear of the snake) They are basically the gold standard for media spin, with the lesser outlets taking cue from them. Or otherwise emulating their reporting style.
I mean, there is no cure for media bias. That would have to be done inside the incestuous collusion of academia and journalism. But to put them in their place like this, after so many years of half-truths and skirting between lie and fact, it's enjoyable. It's sweet.

I agree...I supported Bobby Jindal and Ted Cruz in the primaries..... My number one concern is the fact that Trump says he has never asked God for forgiveness...( at a Frank Luntz focus group during the GOP primaries)...my second concern is the very alarming rise of atheist interest groups within the Conservative Movement. Specifically I'm thinking about avowed atheist Richard Spencer who coined the term "Alt-Right" Most of these Alt-Righers seem to support TRump because they perceive him as being an advocate for secularism....and number three is TRump's own history of immorality, including the secretly recorded Access Hollywood footage ("grab them by the BLANK") as well as the fact that he has appeared in several porno films and even bragged about committing adultery in a book he wrote called "Art of the Comeback" Having said all that, Trump's faith is between him and God...Trump could end up being a great President. In fact I am very encouraged by his relationship with Peter Thiel, who is one of the most brilliant minds of our time. My concerns with Trump are more in relation the secular atheist Alt- Right and how they might influence him...

Spencer is an atheist ? Wow it makes sense that they would pick a guy who would say anything for power .
I like Bobby jindal as one if the politicians who also supports intelligent design
So you're taking the know-nothing approach to this debate?
I was aiming that at Rick, but it works equally well for you, bippy. If it's wrong to hit Christians with a blanket condemnation then doing the same to atheists is just as bad.

yeah i love bobby jindal....wish he was president right now
Some other things that get overlooked by Trump critics is that not only were the polls wrong showing Hillary would win easily but they spent over 2 billion dollars to try to get Hillary elected, with media actually working with her campaign to help Hillary against both Berny Sanders and Donald Trump and yet Trump only spent millions of dollars, alot less money than any Presidential candidate ever has in modern history and he won. This is ignored by so many people but this is a Trump revolution and it is bigger than even Trump himself. It is not going away, the American people are fed up with both parties in Washington and they want the swamp drained and Trump will do it at the right time.
