Easter biblical?

Many state Easter is not a Christian holiday and the name is from a german goddess. What do you guys think about that?

Re-purposing pagan festivals and customs - like the ancient pagan festival of Eostre which honored the Germanic pagan goddess in ways that instead began to honor Jesus - as opposed to what the roots of such things once did (honor false Gods, etc.), is a wonderful thing. God will one day do the same with the now corrupt earth and it's evil. The bad and evil will be purged, a restoration will occur - in a similar parallel of how a person is transformed, through Christ, after salvation. A seedy bar, known for it's decadence and trouble-making for a neighborhood, is purchased by a start-up church - new paint, landscaping, flowers, carpet, a nice new roof - and what was once decadent, ugly and seedy has become something of beauty and Godly use and influence to change broken, hopeless lives for the beginning of an eternity with Christ: Good, VERY good!

But there is proof that resurrection was celebrated in the early church.

100% incorrect.

Before Easter was Easter ( germanic/ english) it was Pascha and that name has ZERO to do with anything Pagan.
Case closed.

What matters is the thought and principle. For example the cross once symbolized torture, later it became a symbol of salvation and love.
