html...nothing to do with God

does anyone know how to do html...im at school in computer web design, and the teacher doesnt know how to do anything, and im learning from a book called 'HTML 4.01 Weekend Crash Course'. i was wandering if anyone knows how to save a file with the html extention on 'notepad'...please help.

Copy the file with the HTML extension and paste it into Notepad?

Put the file name in quotes where it says filename.
