So back to time traveling and meeting the founders, I wouldn't do it out of fear. It would probably upset the natural flow of events, butterfly effect and all that.
BUT wouldn't it be hilarious if we brought them to the future? I can imagine Ben Franklin seeing a car and saying, "What hath God wrought? Horseless carriages that can cover a league that swiftly??"
