Judgement after death
Judgement after death
I'm having a hard time reconciling the finality of a souls' state after death. Does this mean a soul will not 'evolve', for lack of a better word, once it has been molded through this life (with or without Him)? As a side note, it would harmonize with why angels fall for eternity. Makes me think of the rich man and Lazarus, too. I don't understand not having growth with Him through eternity (we will never be divine). But then, perhaps it's continued growth in our being, always having potential but never reaching it with an eternal God (part of the essence of having 'being'). Something that confuses me, is how a soul would not want to deny itself and reform for the life in God if it is found in hell. What is it with the passing of this life that brings on an eternal imprint?

I am not following your line of thought very clearly here. I will try to ask some questions and makes a few statments to clarify what you mean below:Mallz wrote:I'm having a hard time reconciling the finality of a souls' state after death. Evolve - Eccl 3:11,14 basically this: Once our mortal life begins, eternity begins for human beings. It starts, then due to the absolute justice, mercy, goodness, of God, despite already foreknowing the result of growth of each human being, God remains just to his own promises, gifts, and callings.
People evolve, grow, fall away into rebellion of their own accord. Rebellion is simply manipulating God's character traits to achieve ones owns ends, as well as the end of God. Rebellion pits and plays God's goodness against itself in order to disprove God does keep his word, promises etc... The idea of rebellion is control - we are in charge - call all the shots - know better than God or anyone else for that matter.
Humanity fell into rebellion and evolves in it to justify and absolve oneself. Since God placed eternity in our hearts, when one dies in that state, they remain so as they will never change, no matter what. Once a person understands eternity from the position of the afterlife, they will continue to seek to play God a fool and seek ways to entrap Him in his words, promises, gifts, etc...
This will sound strange to you but for God it would it not be just to the created being to evolve them in the afterlife to accept Him as that is not just for the being because they view God as the means to their own ends. They do not change, in fact they get worse and worse. Thus they are sealed in their fallen state of their own free accord and God holds them to account, eternally...
Do you understand what it means to be sealed by the Holy Spirit?
We are mortal beings who after we die, enter the eternal. Only in this life is their a chance to change and turn away from rebellion thru what Jesus Christ did upon the cross proving that God is faithful and worthy and as how the world portrays Him. He seals us and states the change in us and carries us through to the uttermost. Faith, loyalty, responsibility is restored by this reconciliation brought to light By God''s grace shown on the cross. The cross is the just litmus test to see whom sets their heart to who and in what. Do you understated this?
How any soul of a person would not want reconciliation and restoration back to God original plan for each person is determined in this mortal life: What one sows, they reap...
Is this what you are referring to?

As a side thought, when babies, fetuses, handicapped people, etc, are in heaven, they stay the same? How will they serve God?B. W. wrote: Since God placed eternity in our hearts, when one dies in that state, they remain so as they will never change, no matter what.

Just don't watch Japanese anime. It's like watching soft core porn. I just found that out yesterday.
John 5:24
24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

Re: Judgement after death
Fantasy type games with monster-killing are all OK in my opinion. You're not doing anything wrong in making an animated monster die, and I think the brain can separate fantasy and reality. I also think it's important to have a balanced life, and not spend most or all of your free time on video games. Getting out of the house and connection with nature and other people are good ideas.jven wrote:I own a ps3 and 4 and am trying to clean up my life. As such I have sold nearly every games that I own.
