The interesting thing is how easy it is to get people to go along with something like this. Next thing you know, manufacturers will embrace it, as having a sensor to engage car ignitions, locks, all manner of things, will be seen as a great and far cheaper advantage over present mechanisms. It doesn't surprise me that Swedes are flocking to it - as most of them have zero concerns about anything nefarious ever happening, particularly per any spiritual beliefs.

I'm waiting for the release a robotic arm version like Jax's in Mortal Kombat. I'd give an arm for that.

This is not the mark of the beast. It is impossible to accept the mark today because the beast isn't yet in power. However it might be a way of getting people used to having a chip implanted in them so they can be more easily persuaded to accept the mark when the beast does come to power.
