A land unknown Hells Dominion chap17 page 184
A large breast pocket ,was this where the old testament people went until the resurrection and is there where Jesus went and brought out the prisoners from Abraham blossom. And now with heaven open why would it be just a place for the rare and await the final verdict. What place is that? It sounds like a holding cell for those Jews who die today and still follow the old covenant or die under the old covenant . Is this a place for people that other religions go when they die who were sincere about loving God but never knew Jesus. It doenst sound like heaven but it doesn't sound like hell either . I am perplexed.

You may which to ask Bryan this question on the other thread. He checks it periodically. I'm not sure if he would see your question on this thread.

Thayer Definition: for the word Bosom used in Luke 16:22 is as followscled wrote:A large breast pocket ,was this where the old testament people went until the resurrection and is there where Jesus went and brought out the prisoners from Abraham blossom. """kolpos
1) the front of the body between the arms
2) the bosom of a garment, i.e. the hollow formed by the upper forepart of a rather loose garment bound by a girdle or sash, used for keeping and carrying things (the fold or pocket)"""
AMG The Complete Word Study of NT and OT words mentions this about the meaning of kolpos
""G-2859
κόλπος
...To be in or on the bosom of someone means to be in his embrace, to be cherished by him as the object of intimate care and dearest affection, or as we say in English to be a bosom friend.
...In Luke 16:22, "into Abraham's bosom" means in intimate communion with Abraham as the father of faith. See Luke 16:23; Sept.: Deut 13:6; Deut 28:54, Deut 28:56 (cf. 2Sam 12:3, 2Sam12:8).
The bosom of an oriental garment, the loose cavity or hollow formed by the doubling of a robe, a fold for carrying things as a pocket (Luke 6:38; Sept.: Isa 65:6; Jer 39:18)....""
After reading that part in the book do you notice the the symbolism matches these definitions?
We are saved by God's grace through Faith...
Abraham was justified by Faith... (by the the grace shown to him by God in many ways)
The meaning of Faith is the Hebrew definition of faith, not our modern western concept of faith.
The idea behind faith was attachment - to attach oneself too - committed - loyal - obedient learner - to follow no mater what - with the idea of Covenant between the stronger to the weaker party; the weaker party attaches to learn and follow the stronger as yoked together committed to follow, obey, learn, be loyal too no matter what will be supported by the stronger while learning the trade, task, duty, a promise carried out... (to be faithful to each other)
The Idea contained in Matt 11:28,29,30 is the ancient Hebrew concept of Faith.
The Pictographs of the Hebrew letters for H539 אמן 'âman used in Genesis 15:6 are interesting too which is the Picture of the Stronger one, ensuring the weaker (who is attached to the stronger) will make it through the trials of life, to bring forth seed, growth, productivity, life to future generations.
It is a word with deeper meanings than we in the modern world gives faith. It goes way past mere simple belief, or being convinced as in persuaded.
It expresses a surrender to the stronger party in a covenant agreement with a weaker party to learn from the stronger while living yoked together through the storms of life to tend to growth of seed (offspring) involving learning how to tend, protect and continue the covenant to future generations.
"Those like Abraham who found faith" see it? Righteous Jews who died went to a place called Abraham's Bosom just as Jesus pointed out in Luke 16 and Paul later in Ephesians 4:8... which is mentioned in Mat 27:52,53
That place is still there for a very rare few who like Abraham find faith...
