Weird Al Yankovic was part inspiration for the Christian band Apologetix.The lead singer Jay Jackson became a Christian and would go to bible studies and as they had bible studies he would write parodies in order to help remember the bible teaching and he was very good at mimicking and to have some music he would perform the parodies and eventually it grew into a band.
