Is buying a church immoral ?

I've been struggling with this idea lately because I'm looking for a house to buy with large SQF. The real estate market is very bad right now for buyers. Because it's been rigged/fix/manipulated. That's another subject altogether. I just can't bring myself to by a church and convert it to a house. It just feels wrong. Basically it looks like allot of churches are going out of business and being sold lately for low prices when compared to same size houses.

It doesn't feel right for me but I'm just wondering what other people think.

Sorry I'm not communicating myself again. I mean that buying a church is immoral Because I'm (or someone else) is buying it to convert it into a designer house. Hence it would cease being a church. This is a house a God. A place people came to meet learn pray and when they are going through terrible trials and tribulations or to give thanks for something God has done great in their lives. Lots of memories.

I don't believe I'm worthy to live in such a place. Even if I did not have vices. Such activity has no place in a church.

It's a shame to see all these churches sold on Zillow. It means there is one less church. One less group of believers. It makes me sad. And now I am tempted to buy this and convert it into a unique house to live in. These are gourgeous buildings from an interior design point of view and can be converted into unique residences.

So am the person who is transforming it out of being a church. But then I say if I don't do it someone else will. Also I feel in this context I am trash and not qualified to live in a church. But like I said if I don't someone else will.

Someone offered me a piece of pepperoni once and I told them I was a vegetarian. They said "if you don't eat it someone else will" and it stuck with me for some reason.

Do you think this is wrong or am I just overthinking this?

Didn't it cease being a place of worship, once it was emptied and put up for sale?

Personally, I think it's a great idea to make some of these into houses. Especially if you can keep the exterior looking the way it does. I always thought it would be cool to live in an old church building.

The building called the church is just a place to meet, no more different than a house or a tent.
