Canada Supreme Court Rules

Post by B. W. »

Only a matter of time for the USA

Christian Schools Not Free to Require Christian Beliefs, Canada Supreme Court Rules

On another thread about LGBQ-xyz etc and so forth there is talks of the moral superiority of forgiveness. However, I hope folks see the the Homosexual political world wide agenda is not forgiving but dominating, controlling, and demanding submission to its will or else.

The cultural marxist progressive left is equally unforgiving and vile in it hatred as well and absolutely unable to forgive and thus no ground to lecture anyone who opposes them as not living up to their own standards.

When the warped and twisted rule, the people groan ... look at Venezuela. No where does cultural marxism work, no where does socialist practice lead to utopia but everywhere it leads to destruction of the people in countries that support it. London - what has happened to you. England - why so you support Muslim child sexual assault by rape teams of Muslim men. Germany, how are all those muslims in your country doing? How glorious is open boarders? World - how to you like being governed by the PC thought police?

Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.

Proverbs 11:10 When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices; And when the wicked perish, there is jubilation.

It's "nowhere," not "no where." Errors like that can really detract from a crazy rant. Always remember to proofread! You want to be taken seriously, don't you? Or do you? I still can't decide if you're actually nuts or just a really dedicated performance artist.

Whatever, Ed, a Christian school should be able to exclude non-Christian faculty - just like a Muslim school should be allowed to exclude professors who are not Muslims, etc. Else, only the approved religious practices of the majority will be acceptable to the state.

I'm not following your logic there, Phil.

If Christian organizations cannot make their own criteria for whom they hire, then this means the state (i.e. the majority voting on the laws controlling this) is controlling it.

I hadn't previously read the article. Now that I have I'm even more confused. It's an article about a law school that can't get accreditation because they require everyone to sign a "Community Covenant" that explicitly discriminates against homosexuals. Hiring non-Christian staff wasn't even mentioned.

Personally, I applaud the decision. I hope that we'll eventually live in a world where gay people have the same rights as everyone else and conservative Christians accept that with good grace.

I should have read closer. But as other religious school likewise have charitable status - and they also have the rights to key conduct and codes, why can't Trinity? In the U.S. churches are not taxed, and yet the charters of many have strict membership requirements. Mine does! Just like with the freaking people who can't go by a cake from a gay-friendly baker, why would anyone gay want to attend a Christian-based school to begin with - as they have many other and likely much cheaper tax-supported schools? This is the state dictating what religious-based schools must do. VERY bad! Now must the school erase its other, long-held values - values that are at their very foundation?

Basically, Ed, surely you don't want to force YOUR views on others, DO you? No one is twisting the arm of people to go to this school. Let them go elsewhere as they will encounter no resistance to their views - and I'm all for THEIR freedom to attend institutions that might have rules which might violate my conscience.
