Thanks Cricetinae,

You just gave me an idea for a new avatar picture!

I think what you meant to say was "What else can be done to remove evil". Exorcism is about removing evil, not repelling it. Repelling is easier than removing.

A couple of analogies:

- Say you invite in a house guest to stay for a while. The guest, as it turns out, has malevolent intent. So you decide to get him to leave. It's now a lot harder to get rid of him once he's in your house rather than not inviting him in the first place.

- Someone you know doesn't like you. So they send someone around to your place to give you grief. Will you let this person step into your house or not ? How can you tell in the first place what their purpose might be ?

So it's the same with your psyche. You can open it up and let any old spirits in or you can keep the door shut. Someone might send some really bad thoughts to your psychical door (via a curse, etc.) Best to have your door shut.

If someone is 'under the law', its very difficult for them to determine if someone else is going to give them grief. Under Grace, you start becoming more and more conscious of people types, their character and what their intent might be. So, under Grace, undertaking spiritual activities (for whatever reason), you will be at less risk of bringing in or attracting malevolent entities. Plus the Holy-Spirit (the protector, the teacher, the comforter) tends to give you lots of help along the way.

That is what I meant. I do think however that repel is more accurate. Technically, you can't remove evil. Otherwise, exorcism would remove every evil in a person, but it doesn't. It only affects the external entity.
It would be a blessing if they missed the cairns and got lost on the way back. Or if
the Thing on the ice got them tonight.

For a brief time in my life, I did feel I was.

Yeah, I also understand why you would think so.

Was that before your "gay" demon was exorcised?
