Several scientific theories abound.
One is "Quantum foam" which exists at the "Planck length" level, so immensely small stuff going here. This in turn caused something like a ripple or bubble which caused the intense energy dot that formed this universe.
Another is the inflation theory which states a chain of universes came before this one.
Still another states we originated in a black hole or something similar in another universe.
What came before this Universe?

Re: What came before this Universe?
We actually do know the answer to that question.
It's the very first thing that the Word of God tells us.
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth"
What came before this universe?
God
Ever since science demonstrated that the universe began around 14 billion years ago, people who deny the existence of God have tried to rationalize around the implications of a finite universe by replacing their Creator with some sort of unsupported theory.
I think it makes more sense to trust the One who was actually there.

Re: What came before this Universe?
We both agree on that, and even many scientists agree. However, this was a scientific question, that is it is not unsound for God to make universes before this one. Indeed, if science ever had good evidence of a parallel universe beside ours, it would not disprove God.DBowling wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 4:06 am We actually do know the answer to that question.

Indeed, a parallel universe or alternate reality would increase the possibility of God ( see heaven).thatkidakayoungguy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 11:44 amWe both agree on that, and even many scientists agree.
