By saying one has a mental disorder - that their thinking is aberrant and leads to harmful behavior - well, which comes first with some people - a mental disorder cast upon them from birth - or is it one that horrible desires acted upon begin to infect such a person to the point that they can in no way have normal thinking? Is not awareness of one's actions, and attempts to hide them, an indication that one can be both mentally unhealthy but that we should also hold them criminally and morally responsible? So, which came first - sick pursuits or an unhealthy mind?

That is a question for a psycotherapist to answer.
I do know that the "wiring" of the brain in a pedophile is different BUT I don't know of that is genetic or "caused".

It was interesting how the room of the parents, where they stayed, got further and further away from Michael and their child's room.

In Germany, they weren't even on the same floor.
