Priests Allowed to Marry???

But the debate would be a good one of the CC to have! Celibate priests is a very bad idea.

Apparently that's only in remote areas of the Amazon.

The fact that the idea is raised at all in the Catholic Church at all is a positive.

And this requirement of celibacy, first initiated by the CC after 1,000 years of Christian church leaders being married - it contradicts Scripture!

The requirement of those overseeing the church in 1 Timothy 3: "3 The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task. 2 Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife..."

And was the development of this false teaching / prohibition of not marrying prophetic - as it would seem so.

And 1 Timothy 4: "4 Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, 2 through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, 3 who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4 For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving

Oh, and that CC stuff about Peter being supposed "first pope" - ah, THE supposed leader of the all popes to come...was married! Peter's mother-in-law was healed by Jesus at their home in Capernaum (Matthew 8:14–17, Mark 1:29–31, Luke 4:38); And 1 Corinthians 9:5 has also implies that Pete was married.

A lot of bad stuff has come from the CC's celibacy requirement for priests!

The RCC mandate for priests not to marry is not biblical OR apostolic.
