Rick, I'm wondering why we never saw amyhimesama's shroud posting. I hate that, because she obviously took some effort to post those videos.

The videos were in Kurieuo’s post that amyhimesama quoted.

I remember seeing the post awaiting approval, but it didn’t really make any sense to me:
We can only cover both the federal and California law of evidence in a brief essay like this by a ruthless process of selection and compression. What we will cover can best be thought of as that essential kernel of the law of evidence that the trial lawyer must carry in his head.
What does that even mean?

It almost looks like a fragment she copied from somewhere else that has nothing to do with the thread. No worries, I fixed the mistake and deleted it.

From the article
In fact, in 2002 some threads were already taken from the Shroud and kept by the Archdiocese of Turin for future scientific studies. It would be enough to take 1-mm-long samples from these threads, combine them with other linen samples taken from other ancient fabrics of known date, and involve several laboratories in a dating experiment using the technique we have developed that uses X-rays. It could also be carried out as a blind experiment, that is, without laboratories knowing which samples are taken from the Shroud compared with those taken from other linen fabrics, to avoid any possible bias in the data analysis by the authors of the research.
Am looking forward to this blind experiment. I hope they will do it.
Thanks for sharing the article

Shroud of Turin Photographer Explains Powerful Evidences

Post by Philip »

Image

Here, the photographer recruited by the team of scientists that studied the Shroud of Turin, explains why it cannot be a medieval forgery, nor could be a painted image (as it has three-dimensional encoded data within it) - but most importantly, he talks about the portion of the Shroud that was carbon-dated and why that sample could in no way have been representative of the age of the rest of the shroud's true age. He also explains how the data surrounding the repaired / sampled / tested portion was covered up and it took a court order to reveal. Lastly, he speaks to the peer-reviewed studies about the re-weave. Interestingly, the photographer began the project as a total skeptic (who also happens to be Jewish), whom was recruited to the investigative team.

Great video!
