Do you guys believe that the universe (or at least our galaxy) was fine-tuned to cater to human life? Is there evidence for this?

when some guy was talking about the fine-tuning of the universe, I was pretty shocked when he concluded that the universe was a computer simulation (ei. video game) and were being played by an advanced "alien race" rather than think its a result of a God.
