Why wasn't Jesus recognized by anyone after His resurrection?

after the Resurrection
The "walk to Emmaus" episode (Luke 24) helps answer this question for me...
The two disciples were convinced that their dear Teacher, the person on whom they had laid such great hopes, was dead. They were so certain of that "fact" that it took Christ Jesus the whole journey to Emmaus, followed by that familiar act of breaking bread, to open their eyes! Then they SAW! They later remembered that their hearts "burned within them" when he spoke --- Jesus' words touched their hearts and this opened their eyes to his deathlessness.
Isn't it like that for us sometimes when we are suddenly really AWARE of the presence of Christ, which has been there with us all the time, but we just haven't realised it That's when we experience healing ...
Christ never hides from us, we just haven't always got our eyes open!
