biochemist: from Science to God

Post by 1over137 »

I just bumped into this short interview with retired biochemist
Very interesting to watch and even read the testimony comments below the video.

my short notes:
3 generations of strict atheists
wondered how proteins are formed
first answer: evolution does it : became unsatisfactory
science does not support strict atheism
science brought him to agnosticism
later he visited church for the first time and was nothing he expected
then reading the Bible he was struct by Acts and Matthew, Acts being real history, nothing made
then he had experiences he had to attribute it to Holy Spirit
he became Christian
when atheist, the biogenesis as science views it push him away from atheism
he was astonished by accurate self replication
... and more interesting stuff in the interview ...

So, 1over - as you have a science background yourself - are there similarities in how you discovered God?

Well, my story was posted here in 2012: viewtopic.php?p=117403#p117403
But total details are not there.

Let me add, that year and a half ago I learned that am HSP (High Sensitive Person), which means am completely normal, just very empathetic, and I feel others feelings too and all. And I was not accepted as a kid, and was told all the time "you cannot be like this" - so, gradually I was so exhausted (HSP overstimulation) , and then doctors wronged me and all that hard stuff in my life.

This was long time ago and many things happened in my life later.
Miracle that am still hear and sane :)
