NOAH'S FLOOD: LOCAL or GLOBAL?

Tremendously insightful video into the flood of Noah, per Bible scholar and theologian Dr. Gavin Ortlund!

Viewpoints and debates over the scale of the flood of Noah are often divisive - and they shouldn't be! They also aren't a Salvation issue. And one's take on it makes then no less spiritual or believing of Scripture. I'm only posting this video on the flood of Noah because it offers some excellent and fascinating insights into, not only the flood passages and the extent and range of the flooding, but also as it offers some important aspects that one should ponder, especially, the implications of how we view the textual readings and words used. And about the ancient writers' and audiences' pre-scientific age understandings - as well as how both groups both wrote and understood per the sensibilities of THEIR time. It also touches on how we can mistakenly read 21 century understandings into how we view these texts - which would unquestionably introduce error into our understandings. Lastly, we see that many issues and considerable more and greater miracles are required, if one takes the text to mean the flood to have been worldwide (covered the entire earth). A lot to consider here!
