For those who don't know about it, a huge, recent disagreement concerning the truth of the Bible has broken out from comments Christian apologist Wes Huff made on the Joe Rogan Experience show, as Huff asserted that the Old Testament Book of Isaiah we have today is almost verbatim to the ancient scrolls of it found in Qumran caves along the Dead Sea's northwestern shore in the 1940s. Huff is the Central Canada Director for Apologetics Canada. The uproar began as well-known atheist Alex O'Conner has challenged the contention that the Dead Sea Scroll manuscripts of Isaiah are remarkably close to our modern translations of the book. Prominent Christian apologists Gavin Ortland, Ruslan KD, and others have weighed in on why O'Connor, etc are so wrong and are creating false understandings, if not outright lies.
So, why in the world would the truth over the ancient Isaiah manuscripts found in the caves of Qumran be so important to atheists? It's because the Book of Isaiah was written 700-plus years B.C. - AND because Isaiah prophesied amazingly accurate prophesies about the life, events and activities of Jesus Christ, the long-promised Messiah, nearly 800 years before He was crucified and (three days later) resurrected back to life, where he as seen by hundreds of people. And the manuscripts found in the Dead Sea Scrolls were written 100 - 200 years before the birth of Jesus. As only God can perfectly predict the future, and as the Book of Isaiah is one of the most powerful, fulfilled prophesies about Jesus found in the Bible, it's obvious why atheists would try to debunk it as false, inaccurate, or written after Jesus' crucifixion.

Isaiah, son of Amoz, is often thought of as the greatest of the writing prophets. His name means "The Lord saves." He was a contemporary of Amos, Hosea and Micah, and began his prophetic ministry in 740 b.c., the year King Uzziah died.
