Muslim divorces in their sleep

Puritan lad,
Was there any point to posting this under 'Aberrant Christianity'?
It's interesting, but what happens in some Muslim village somewhere by people who are obviously ignorant is pretty meagre pickings.
Muslims could point to endless examples of Christian stupidity across the globe. We also have our fair share of ignorant people.
Regards,
Blacknad.

Perhaps is isn't "Aberrant Christianity", but the fault here isn't with the couple. The problem is the false religious society they live in.
Sorry to offend you, and your displeasure has been considered...

And in other news, KMart moans "ban" three times in his sleep and is booted from the God and Science Forum...

An atheist can't find God for the same reason a criminal can't find a police officer.
You need to start asking out girls so that you can get used to the rejections.

I was going to post it too!
PL I read the news article and was going to post it here too, but then I seen you already did.
First we have the Afghan man who converted to christianity who faced the death penalty. If though the case was thrown out I don't think the backlash is over yet.
Now this in India and get what the so called clerics said:
What did the sons of Jacob do when their sister was defiled?
I feel for the couple, but maybe now they might convert we hope.
I have read the Koran and the Bible both. I lived in a country where Islam was the vast majority. The problem is the very low education. Most can't even read any language. Then expect them to understand and read Arabic?
Arabic is a language I have been told that can be interpreted and translated in many many ways. That it is a very difficult language.
So the people listen and take the leaders word for what it says, instead of using their own minds.
Mike

I don't think anyone of us would let another man defile our wife. The religious leaders said that before remarrying, the couple would have to be apart for at least 100 days and that the wife, Sohela, would also have to spend a night with another man and then be divorced by him.

This ostracizing is what I really hate about some others that think they follow Gods ways.PTI reported that the couple has been ostracized because of their refusal to abide by the decision of the village leaders.
