We in the US (and I can say we now, as I naturalized in February) do tend to value cheap labor no matter how loud we yell for border control out the other side of our mouths.
Mexicans will continue to come as long as there are those here willing to pay them better than they can do in Mexico. My mom lives in Mexico and I visit her occassionally and I can understand why they come.
