Any thoughts on this article?

If stem cells can be used to artificially create viable sperm in infertile men, can it also be used in other contexts? Does this open the door wider to genetic engineering in contexts beyond that currently contemplated?

This is cutting edge stuff.

The link above shows near immediate response to the original science story wondering if this will allow women to artificially create sperm. The question asked is whether lesbian couples can use this method if it develops, for their own children.
