Earth including Sun and Moon

Post by Edial »

I am a Christian and believe in old Earth and I take Genesis literally.
This is my first post here.

(Please try not to laugh too loud).

Why can't the Gen.1:1's watery shapeless mass also include the Sun, Moon?
... then, these planets are being separated from that mass on Day 4?
... and the light in Day 1 being the glowing mass of the Sun that is a part of that total mass?

Thanks,
Ed

Hi Edial and welcome to the board.

I don't know why you would think we'd laugh at all considering this board was founded on the premise that an old earth and the Bible are in complete harmony. Please check out some of the articles on the main board. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Byblos.
Let us proclaim the mystery of our faith: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.

Lord I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.
