Just thought this was an interesting story given the source is the Vatican.
Any thoughts? Maybe some confessions?

Vatican Issues 10 Driving Commandments
Dogmatism is the comfortable intellectual framework of self-righteousness. Self-righteousness is more decadent than the worst sexual sin. ~ Dan Allender

Re: Vatican Issues 10 Driving Commandments
I read about that in this morning's newspaper and was a bit saddened by it.
Do we really need another list of rules or commandments?
If we took real note of the ones given to Moses, then these new ones would be redundant.
How can you truly love your neighbour and cut him off in traffic, give him the fingers, have no forgiveness for human error, drive like a maniac and risk injury and death to oneself and others?
Thou shalt not kill.
Matthew 5:21-22 - Jesus speaks of the thought being equivalent to the act.
John reflects the same here:
1 John 3:15 Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.
These rules are a legalistic response and quite likely one that hooks rebellion in fallen man. Those with a truly regenerate heart wont need such rules anyway, and what care has the unregenerate for just another bunch of rules dished up by whom they consider to be some bossy religious types that get around all day in their bathrobes?
