From...Catholic school shuns pupil called Hell
A Catholic school refused to enrol a five-year-old because his surname was Hell.
St Peter Apostle School in Melbourne suggested that Max Hell would only be admitted if he used his mother's maiden name.
His father initially agreed. But when it came to signing the enrolment forms Alex Hall decided to stand firm in defence of his family's name.
“We're quite devastated by the whole thing,” Mr Hell, a Catholic father of three said on Monday....

That's just wrong (funny, yet wrong). The same thing actually happened to a friend of mine whose last name is 'D i c k'. He wanted to register his son at a catholic school and they did give him a hard time. They finally relented when he explained to them it is a Lebanese last name which, literally translated, means rooster (or c o c k), which added yet another twist of irony to the whole matter.puritan lad wrote:From...Catholic school shuns pupil called Hell

Let us proclaim the mystery of our faith: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.
Lord I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

If there is a lawsuit, someone is going to have "Hell" to pay.
(Sorry, I couldn't resist. I'm sure there are more...)
